Default Where to buy a Friodur

I'm looking for a 7/8 or 8/8 friodur but can't seem to find one. I remember there was an online vendor selling them a couple months ago but can't seem to find them now and I'm pretty sure I've revisited that same vendor and they aren't for sale anymore. I see some 5/8 for sale but none of the bigger ones. Are they still made or were those NOS razors I was looking at previously? Where can I find one besides eBay, classifieds and such.

Yeah I just found it. That's where I looked before, just couldn't find it again.

You can also get them on ebay. The scales IMO aren't great and neither is the pinning. I've honed a few and found the tend to be in good shape to start and take very nice edges.

Is that yours on eBay? Doesn't say the size but looks like 7/8. Anyways, I thinks I'll get an 8/8 Spanish point with the spine work and the cheap plastic scales then get it rescaled and honed. Thanks

No, it's not mine. That guy has had lots and lots of them, though. IRRC they are 7/8 square point worked back.

I second that opinion. John is a great guy with whom to do business and his Friodurs have become my go-to razors. Their just-a-bit-less than file hardness and my stropping regimen keeps them shaving sharp for weeks and weeks.

    good shaving

    good shaving

I agree with you. I've never had a bad shave with a Friodur yet, and it's becoming a go-to razor for me, too.
