Default Interesting videos about the Case family

I just won my third Kinfolks razor ("The Ace") from eBay and went to their site just to look it up and see if they had any information listed on it . Noticed that they had some videos posted on YouTube so I checked them out. A descendant of the Case family took a camera and filmed the area while discussing the family history. I had no idea that the same family produced so many U.S. cutlery companies; Case, Cattaraugus, Kinfolks, and Union Cutlery to name a few.

So, two videos at 10 minutes each. More about the actual family and history and not too much specific to razors, but I found them fascinating nonetheless. Viewing is better quality on YouTube but you probably aren't missing much if you watch them below.

Was the one you won "The Ace?" If so, congrats. I had her watched but forgot to bid. Now I'm glad I forgot. Looks like a sweet blade, enjoy her extra, as you enjoy her for me too.

Yes it was. One of my first razors was a Kinfolks Wedge, which I love, so I keep an eye out for them. Second one was a Blue Steel Special, and now The Ace. I've been lucky so far in that all three have stamped scales.

Have you ever been by Little Valley and/or Bradford, PA? Not sure if there's much to do by the looks of the video, but I'm a sucker for history and would love to see some of those buildings and headstones if it were close to me. Maybe even hit the antique shops and find some razors that never left the area.

    Here's the eBay image:

I have indeed driven through Little Valley and close by Bradford PA - It was actually on the way to Lynn's old place in Ohio. I never really stopped there, though, because I was more eager to get to Lynn's.
