    Default Wade and Butcher info?

    Hey gents,

Long-time lurker, first time poster. After perfecting the fine art of nicking my strop and myself on a Gold Dollar razor, I decided I was finally ready to move on. I picked up a Wade & Butcher for $45 from Howard over at the Perfect Edge.

The razor reads "Wade & Butcher, Sheffield" with an encircled B followed by an arrow (as in the type that's shot with a bow) pointing towards a German cross.

I'm just entering the world of vintage razors, and sure am curious. I know nothing about this razor. Any guesses how old it is? What might the arrow & cross mean? What's the handle made out of? (hopefully the pics come out) Should antiques be treated or stored any differently? Thanks for any advice!
