Default Wade & Butcher Meatchopper Resto

so, several months ago I picked up a 'pre-england-marked' W&B meatchopper.
I posted a few pics asking what the scale material was and you all gave me some great feedback - this may jog your memories:

due to your comments and some further research of my own I've determined that they are a material called ebonite or vulcanite - which is basically just a hardened rubber.

so, I'm finally getting around to posting the pictures from the 'restoration' that I did (I put that in quotes because it's not like there was a ton to be done).

I ground out the chips in the heel and polished the blade.
Cleaned (lots of time with 320 grit sand paper) then polished the scales.
    Repinned the whole unit..

I'd say it's a pretty decent job for my first crack at one.

nope, just polished them then re-pinned it (the blade would wobble when closed), I was even able to reuse the wedge.
so the only thing new about it is the pins..

    good job, I like it.
Often people rescales their razors. But I think it is better to use the original scales
