Can anyone recommend where I can find damascus razors for a decent price, possibly even second-hand? Thanks

Welcome to SRP. As Stu mentioned they tend to be expensive. A "decent price" is a relative term in referring to a Damascus straight razor. If you do go to ebay or antiquing to find one be aware that some ordinary razors were marked "Damascus" on the blades but are not the pattern welded steel that we call Damascus nowadays. Plan on spending in the neighborhood of $500 for a pattern welded steel custom. The cheap pattern welded Damascus found on ebay in the $100 price range is a knife shaped like a straight razor so lookout for that.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanks a lot for the quick reply guys, much appreciated.

Nope, not entirely new to straight razors, I have been using one with disposable feather blades for about 9 years now, and have always loved it. Me thinks it is time to up the ante and go for the real deal.

I have always wanted nice a damascus knife, but I know that I won't use it too much, so it is way better to look into a damascus straight razor.

I see that there are some brilliant craftsmen out there that can make me a damascus, but I hear the waiting list is forever....

These are well out of my price range:

Wacker Custom Damascus : Shaving Shop - luxury classic wet shaving products - straight razors

The waiting list on those might be shorter than forever.
