    Default Stainless S / Carbon S?

A question for the more knowledgeable men here, are Gillette blades made out of SS or CS?

    Hi Vincent,
Since 1963, Gillette blades have been stainless steel.

Gillette's Web site here. Click on "Gillette Timeline Of Shaving Firsts" to open the .pdf file.

The last Gillette blade to rust was their Super Blue blade that was made from carbon steel (my dad used to use them).
    Namaste,

    Thanks guys,

I'm going to have to do a bit of testing see if the blade develops rust.

Just though I would throw this in, most stainless can rust a bit. -Not anything like normal carbon; but it still does. It will show up as little dots of light rust. Normally it won't rust, but if you do something to try to make SS rust it will develop spots. Some rust more than others, too, depends on the type of SS it is.
