Default Wacker Fans - I could use some advice

Today is my anniversary. I decided my anniversary gift should be a special new razor, and I'm really leaning towards a new Wacker. Specifically, I'm towards either: (1) the limited edition Antik Spanish Point (http://www.shavingshop.com/index.php...ategory%3D74); (2) a 7/8 Wacker "Jungmeister" spanish point (http://www.shavingshop.com/index.php...ategory%3D74); or (3) a Dorko 1151 spanish point (7/8 Dorko 1151 Spanish Point - blond buffalo horn : Shaving Shop - luxury classic wet shaving products - straight razors). Any recommendations?

    Default Wacker advice

    Hello, LegalBeagle:

I have two Wackers, the "Antik" and the 1st Edition Sheffield, both 6/8", although the Sheffield has a dreadnought point. The "Antik" is a lovely razor with gold etching and light bone scales. The 1st Edition Sheffield has black bone scales and silver etching. I prefer the 1st Edition Sheffield: it is sleek, like a Lamborghini, and a great shaver.

My recommendation, although you don't list it in your post, is for the Wacker 1st Edition Sheffield.

    Regards,
    Obie

    Hi Bill,
First and foremost, allow me to wish you and your wife a very happy anniversary .
I like Wackers and if memory serves, I have the 2nd edition Sheffield (I liked the spine work on the 2nd better than 1st). I have to go with Obie on this one, get the 1st edition if you can. But, I think that John is probably out of the 1st and 2nd editions 9ask him though), how about this Wacker? Whichever you end up getting, you will have a wonderful shaver on your hands that I am sure you will enjoy for years to come.

I went for the Wacker Old Sheffield model 4..

I was looking for a bit heavier grind, and the Wacker did not disappoint!

Happy anniversary, here is a review I did on my set of Wacker wedges. They would not disappoint.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I can't help you but I have one Wacker and it's the LE with the Railroad Bridge on it. It's a very good shaver. I would just buy whichever appeals to you the most.

    Robert,

Thank you again for the wishes. That is a stunning razor. I had not noticed it before, but really like the shoulderless design. Maybe a new contender!

    Hi Bill
I figured you might like it. I really thought the shoulderless design was stunning...Kind like a Ferrari with nice curves . Anyways, it's food for thought.
