Default Introducing the "Erwil" Solingen; Anybody heard of this maker?

I have an Erwil Solingen razor that I cannot find anything about in my references, and hope someone has heard of this company or has an Erwil. It is a very fancy 3 pin razor with a worked spine, pink (!) scales with silver bolsters and what I think are MOP insets. The trademark stamped on the tang is of a female nude figure playing what looks like a tambourine. Any help identifying this maker or date the razor would be greatly appreciated!

Stimpy, thanks for the information! It does indeed shave like crazy. The grind is a little stiffer than a lot of the Solingen razors, and it just mows down the whiskers without resistance.

The pins are original, but the pivot pin was a little loose when I acquired the razor. I peened it very, very carefully! No damage resulted, as you can see in the pictures. I just can't strop with or hone a loose razor, so I took a chance.

    Default Erwil #54

I was recently gifted an totally original #54 Erwil from a fellow SRP member, thank you Baxter! Nothing fancy, pretty much a plain Jane razor and it does shave like crazy. Took a quick, easy bevel, a very smooth, comfortable irritation free shave, I love it! When the facial hairs saw it coming they ran for their lives..........he! he!
