Thanked: 10Further good fortune in Edinburgh
After several months I recently returned to the junk shop in Edinburgh where I had previously found several good razors including a Puma and TI. To my delight the owner reported having recently acquired a new "collection" and gave me a grubby canvas bag from which tumbled at least a dozen boxes. I was under limited time as the wife was parked outside but I selected the best of the bunch. These had very little rust and looked unused. I have washed them with soap solution and a little polish where appropriate
Brosem, "Hamburg Ring" with a patch of rust which should be visible on the picture.
Veriso, "My Sweetheart" which is pretty flawless.
The Electric Razor (sic!) with some etching on the blade and "pluribus unum" which my Latin is no longer up to...
I intend to return soon to check if I missed something or if scales could be salvaged.

Congrats for the nice score, Lordjohn.
You don't mind giving me good hints where to search razors in Edinburgh.
I'm planning to take a 7 day vacation in October with my 1st lady, and Edinburgh is one of the places we've been looking for. Cheap flights from here.'That is what i do. I drink and i know things'

Thanked: 10Sailor, there are many antique/collectables shops most of which I have yet to investigate! They can be found listed in the local Yellow Pages telephone directory (hotels will have this) and as Edinburgh is a small city most will be within walking distance of a central hotel location.

I suspect pluribus unum is part of the longer e pluribus unum, the motto of the USA and emblazoned on the dollar bill: "Out of Many, One."

Nice score!
I love Edinburgh, it's a beutiful city. I'll have to make a trip back up there soon, I had no idea there were so many great stores...!
I last went up in my pre-straight razor days so I wasn't looking. My loss I guess...!
