Thread: hi guys, questions about straights

i bought 3 straights fron a local antique shop and was wondering if u had any useful ifo about them
#1 the first 1 has a broken hzndle (which i can replace) ita a hollow grind and a rounded tip it has "beste eadco quality" embossed on the blade. the tang has 11 and5/8 under it then eadco underneath that.on the bach side it says soligen on it.it appears to be straight and wheh i stroped it it got pretty sharp i can even do some shaving.the edge seems not to have any nicks.
#2 the 2nd one has the "artist"made by leverling razor co on it. its a hollow ground and has a rounded end.the edge seems to have a small dip init from the way it was honedoverall it seems to be a pretty good piece.how can i get rid of the small dip?
#3seems to be the best of the lot.the handle scales havemetal ornamental work. the scales are off-white with lines running horizontal in line with the handle. inlaid in silver metal on the sclaes says"bismark registered" the bladeis hollow ground that has"hollow(extra quality)ground" the tang says bismark and in smaller leters registered.the other side of the tang says made in germany,solingen and below that its numbered 506. my question is if anybody has any idea about theese razors?
i also bought 2 brushes that are double barrel both are made by "certury usa" set in rubber and say pure bristle. are these worth anything? and if not are they good brushes to use. i know this post is kinda long but in trying to come up with at least 2 good straights to use. also i found for sale for 20 a hone made by raven its in the original box and appears to be brand new. is this hone worth the money? or should i look for a different stone? the straight i use now is a dovo shavettee and it gives me better shaves than any other razor including a doos merkur de. any help would be greatly appreciated
