Personally i wouldn't buy unless i can afford it.
Now think it this way: save the money for your wedding trip. You never know what you might find here. A razor you can't even imagine yet. Or something for you wife. We have still plenty razors on flea market and antique shops. We have no such straight razor hype either. Prices can be really really reasonable.'That is what i do. I drink and i know things'

I do understand about finding a razor you like and wanting to go for it even if it is out of the budget. Like others stated you may find another razor you like better, the razor may still be in stock and you may be able to find one for sale used later. As you are in Toronto I would suggest coming to our straight razor meet in a few weeks. It runs from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning. Lots of options for staying the night or two. Lots of razors to see/try, honing lessons and lots of hones to try and maybe some restoration work. Here is the link to the meet thread: http://straightrazorpalace.com/get-t...-wny-meet.html We do have several people that travel a substantial distance to join us. Hope you can make it to the meet. It may help you in you dilemma or make your AD's worse. Bring as much of your gear as you wish and wear a beard to try some razors. RSVP

please don't
Of all the stupid, horrible insane crap I've done in my life, if I could change just one thing ... one...it would be no debt. None. Nada. Booze, loose women, family loss, general self-destructiveness--- nothing polluted my life like charge cards.
