hello
hi everybody. cool site. i have some straight razers that were my dads and great grand father`s. i been wanting to learn how to sharpen and shave with one for a long time. found this site and it looks like i may learn how.
the one i really like says lenox on it and has a hunting scene. another one the red handle one says russian army razor. then theres the wide blae one. not sure how it works. but anyway here are some pic and hope to get some help and info on how to use them. they are all pretty sharp bt i need to get them razer sharp. thanks dave

Welcome to the group. Very nice set of straight razors.
The one with the big teeth is for beard thinning. Lots to read here. Check out the wiki and watch the videos too.
Can you post some close up shots too?

thanks mike. i will post some close ups. been reading. need to pick up a few items for sharpening. tried to shave the way thy are and no go.always love straight razors since i was a kid watching westeners.

Thats a nice set of razors you have there..! Check out the classifieds here for Member Services for a honemeister in your area to send the razors to for honing.
The one with the teeth is a Durham Duplex, and these were actually designed as a sort of half way house between straight razors and a DE. Its effectively a DE head on a straight razor handle and it was marketed at people who liked the feel of using a straight razor but wanted the safety and blade replaceability of a DE. You see them on eBay from time to time, often mislabelled Urham Uplex due to the design of the logo..!
Nice razors though, hope you enjoy them once they're honed up..!

thanks for the welcome. i looked at the venders and i think i will send a couple out to have honed. i live in the cincinnati area and am trying to find someone close but if not i will send a couple out till i learn to sharpen them. i have no pactance and ready to shave with one now. lol
