Default Anyone heard of a razor marked SAEG?

Hi, digging through some old stuff I've found a straight razor marked SAEG on one side of the tang. The letters are arranged at the corners of a diamond shaped box, S at the top, A left, E right and G at the bottom. The other side of the tang is marked 'finest Sheffield steel forged and real hollow ground in Germany' The razor is genuinely old.we believed it belonged to my wife's grandfather?

Its triple pinned and has what look like tortoise shell scales. I've given it a quick hone and strop and had a couple of shaves out of it, but would benefit from a little restoration and taking slack out of the hinge pin - any suggestions on repair?

Maybe worth adding the blade is etched 'The Morning Glide' surrounded by ornate scroll frame and underneath 'XXARS Guaranteed' (difficult to read as there is water stain). Spent some more time on the hone and shaved again with it this morning.
