Thanked: 0Question about a razor company...
I was at an antique store today, and there was an older razor with a price tag of $10 on it. The price tag said "Germany" "Hypes Barber Supply Co." I looked through brands of razors in the wiki and found nothing on there. I was wondering if anybody has heard of this company before and if they are any good. Thanks!

Ryan - Your razor was made by an unknown manufacturer who produced razors to be stamped with any company's name and resold by that company. Hypes Barber Supply was like any of hundreds of barber and beauty suppliers, hardware stores, cutlery outlets, etc., who sold "personalized" products produced by anonymous manufacturers. There is no way to determine the quality of your razor except by using it yourself and making your own judgment based on your experience. Hypes did not make this razor, they had their company name stamped on the tang and resold the razors to barbers in the area that they serviced.
