Mr. Lee's Razors
My barber Mr. Lee would like to know if anyone can give the approximate age of his W&B for barbers use razor. He also would like to know any info or history for the razor that just has Sterling stamped on the tang. I posted the rest of the pics to show what hangs on his wall. The last three pics are of the razors in question.

According to Robert Doyle in his book, "Collecting Straight Razors", your friend's 'barber's use' razor would be between 1850 and 1870. Same for the one with the scalloped spine and the eagle etched on the blade. Nice stuff and my copies of those shave well.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

The top three are probably from about 1870-1880. The bottom two look like they're from about the Spanish-American war in the late 1890's. Without good shots of the tangs...it's just an educated guess.

Very, very nice display. The last razor looks to have ivory scales-no visible pores in the photo. What fine shavers they would all make......
