    Default Razor availability in Australia

Is anyone else in Australia as frustrated as I am about finding good razors and strops in Australia? There only seems to be rubbish on ebay and no second hand or antique shops seem to stock them.

I don't know of any stores that have a good range. The razor shop stocks DOVO razors but the staff know nothing about them.

The only good ones seems to be overseas and it costs a bomb to shift stuff over.

there are a few places you can get razors and razor products:

Men's Skin Care and Shaving Products - Men's Biz
Mens Grooming & Shaving Products | Male Skincare - Himage - home
    AKC Mail-order Knives
Shavers, Trimmers, Clippers, Cut Throats and More - Shaver City

but i have to agree with you that we don't have much variety down here.

Beat me to it...Hendersr, you said 'Razor shop', Did you mean 'Shaver shop'? Or do you have a 'Razor shop' down south there?

P.S I'm going to try and look for some second hand CT's this weekend. If I manage to find an extra one in good nick I'll pick it up and let you know. If you don't want it, that's fine too.

Whoops wishful thinking, i meant Shaver Shop. The place where the assitants look at you blankly when you start talking about strop paste or strops or honing etc. but swing into full sale mode if you say electric razor.

The only think i like from there is the Italian shaving cream

Mens Biz is the go if you don't want to buy from overseas. Nathan is a great bloke. Antique shops in Australia are pretty much a lost cause. The majority I've been in just sell lots of brown furniture. As I buy alot of stuff from ebay in the US, I also run a US based mail holding and forwarding service.
