Thanked: 1Need help identifying razor.
I recently acquired a razor from goodwill for about 10$, but have been unable to find any info on it. It is a square point, full or singing hollow blade, looks to have been rescaled. The imprint reads
"West REC M'F'G
Field NY CO."
Has anyone heard of this razor manufacturer?

Would it be possible to post a clear photo of your razor showing all the stampings on the tang?

Westfield Mfg. Co.
Wow, I asked for a clear photo of all the stampings on the tang and that sure is clear. . . . . and LARGE!!
Your razor was sold by the Westfield Manufacturing Co., but the only reference I could find in Goins'
Encyclopedia mentions a "Made in Germany" stamp. Is Germany stamped on the reverse side of the tang?
There isn't much in the way of information regarding your razor. Maybe someone else will come along with more details.
Regards - Walt
ps Try and reduce the size of your photos to about 600 pixels wide so we can see them without scrolling.

Thanked: 1The back side of the tang does not have any markings on it, or anywhere else on the razor.

I can't help with info on the razor but thank you for resizing the image to something that fits on the screen.

I did find that the Westfield Manufacturing Co., of Westfield, MA, made Columbia bicycles from 1915 to 1933. In 1915 they purchased the "Pope plant" in Westfield with the intention of making automobiles. Perhaps they lowered their sights and built bicycles instead. There was also a Westfield Manufacturing Co. in Westfield, PA, which appears to be a foundry. But I couldn't find any references to the making or selling of razors by either firm.

Thanked: 0Dudleys Dollar brand razor
Walt-
New member-
Was curious about a razor that belonged to my father-in-law. The brand is "Dudleys Dollar". It appear to be in excellent condition. It's pretty old.
Ever hear of this brand?
Thanks
