    One!

I've only been using one of my two for a number of months now.

One issue with this however, is that you might not notice your edge quality declining - a bit like when driving a car every day and you don't notice the quality of the brakes changing, it just sneaks up.

Still a rotation of one is fine - just keep an eye on good maintenance i.e. strop well and often ('enough').

...maybe I've just argued for a rotation of two??

    All the best,
    Michael

Having more just means each one is ued less, and therefore needs to be touched up less frequently.

Let's pretend a razor will last for 10 shaves before needing a touchup. If you have one razor, you'll have to touch it up every 10 days. If you rotate through 2 razors, you'll have to touch up 2 razors every 20 days. If you rotate through three razors, you'll have to touch up 3 razors every 30 days. Etc etc. It's always the same amount of touchups per days, but only if you look over a long enough period of time.
