Just a reminder!

A little over a month remains before the 7th National Shaving Collectibles Meeting takes place in West Chester, Ohio, on October 23-24. If you’re still debating over whether or not to attend, now would be a good time to consider the reasons for attending:

People at the meeting speak the same language. You’ll never worry about putting attendees to sleep, as happens so often with inviting neighbors or the postman to see your collection. Even my wife finds my razor talk soooothing when she’s trying to fall asleep.

You’ll be tempted with great collectibles for purchasing: straight razors, safety razors, stroppers, hones, blade banks, blades, you name it. At last year’s meeting, I picked up a beautiful double-ring Gillette, complete in case with Gillette booklet for $75. Wow!!!

There will be several short presentations: Unusual and Rare Safety Razors; Blade Banks; and Stroppers. We always allow plenty of time for questions and answers.

Lunch is provided on the meeting day, as well as wonderful homemade goodies from Katie’s Kitchen (my wife). This in itself is reason for coming. And a wonderful Sunday Brunch at the Rosenthals’ to see my Safety Razor Collection - known to be the largest collection of safety razors in the entire West Chester, Ohio, area.

There is an informal dinner on the night preceding the meeting; goody bags provided by Schick Wilkinson/Sword; many, many tables for displaying, selling, and buying, and great friendships to be cultivated.
