Str8 razor history
Does anyone know of a web site that knows about the history of our beloved str8? I would love to know where the str8 has been how its evolved over the centuries. I know that stainless steel is rather a recent development (perhaps the 1950s or so). When did the str8 get the folding handle? When were hollow points invented?

I'm not sure of exact dates or where such info could be found. However,
You might find some info here: The history of the straight razor - Straight Razor Place ForumsFind me on SRP's official chat in ##srp on Freenode. Link is at top of SRP's homepage

The conventional wisdom is that hollow points were developed at the Dum Dum arsenal in India for the British .303 in the late 1890s though I think Greener was fooling around with them in the 1870s.

There is no web site with all this information.
You must buy some books, spend much time in internet and to have a lot motivation.
P.S. I don't want to offend anyone , but the answer to your question is the whole SRP.
One more time, stainless steel was used in razors blades since 1912-1915.Alex Ts.
