    Default Exciting find today

Well i decided to stop at a antique store while on the road. Man was i excited when i saw the Puma in the cabinet. The razor was closed so i wasnt sure if it would be in good shape. I was so excited to see it in excelent shape. Not to mention its a spanish point. I havent seen many of those. I also decide to buy the other razor with matching box. Its a Bema. Havent heard of it. Very close to shave ready. The best part was the price. Cheeper than if i tried to take my kids and myself to the movies. I uploaded 2 before and 2 after pictures.

Those are awesome finds Rene ...I bet you that Puma is some nice vintage one...That is especially a nice tang (do you it used to have one of those rubber thingies like the EPBDs do)? maybe a Puma expert can weigh in. Don't know about Bema.

Would you mind telling me how you got the blades to look nice again as I am getting ready to do some antiqueing myself soon here ? Hope I find something good also.

I just used some Maas. I was lucky. There was no pitting or rust. Just grime. If your just getting into restoring, like i am. A buffer does wonders.

Yea absolutely. These have to be one of my top finds. For antique store shopping and condition. I have given up hope of finding a Fili at any local store. LOL!

How did you get the Puma shiny without losing the 'Extra'? It looks like gold wash.

I wasn't sure if the Maas would remove it. I stayed away from it. I used a Pencil eraser with maas for smaller area's.
