Thanks so much for the insight! So, in your opinion it would be safe to say that the subsequent mfg's were working to produce the Red Imp for Case and after Case no longer manufactured the straight razor themsleves. That would certainly go a long way in explaining the varied mfg's under the Red Imp trademark.

Some companies worked for Case. And Case worked for somebody.
Case made razors and knives for Winchester and Kruse & Bahlmann, at 20's, for Clauss, Freemont, 1915-1940. Case used razors acquired from Genco in 1942.

I have recently purchased several vintage straights. I can't wait to get them. I'll post some pics and, if you are willing, you may school me on them. Ha ha.
Can you suggest some resources for learning as much as possible about straight razor history? I am constantly learning new things everyday online but would certainly appreciate any tips that might be offered.

Red imps have wicked spikes... One of my first razors and i used to look like someone threw a cat at my face..
