    I think it would make an excellent reed knife. Actually, I think that I am going to hone a reed knife and see how it shaves.

    That thing must have a really long cutting edge, too! You should get it reground and shaped by a one of the custom guys. It'd probably make a cool asymmetric style straight

    Lol, we don´t have any sugar or bambu cane here in Sweden.

    Heirkb: Yes, I´m going to talk to my guy, Neil Miller, about that (what´s possible and not and if it´s a good piece of steel, but it prob. is since it´s very likely to be surgical steel).

    for your Wilhelm Walb info. You have quite the piece of surgical history there. It is worth far more intact as a 19th century surgical tool, then converted into something.
