Thanked: 240Very nice blade you got there. Is that one of those scaleless, western/Japanese fusions that seem to be popping up? Most important how does she shave? If she works half as good as she looks I'd expect whiskers to retract at the mere sight of that mighty blade!

I think that both the one Alex made as well as Del1r1um's are both gorgeous blades, but something that should be considered is elegance to price. It's going to cost more to do something like Alex did with the detail work on the spine and such, as well as the material of the scales. Del1r1um's design is closer to the actual logo's overall look, but like I said, elegance vs. price. How much do the people of SRP want to spend? How large should the run of these razors be? How faithful should the design be to image in the logo? If you look closely at the design in the logo, the proportions are slightly off (not by much, but they are), which makes it look cool, but would weight it in a strange manner. What is more important the look or the feel? These and others, are questions that would need to be agreed upon by those interested in purchasing. The blade is a representation of the forum, and as such, should represent what those on the forum feel makes a good blade. That's a difficult thing as such, because everyone has their own tastes.
Personally, I would love to see that logo with a damascus blade. I dont know if I would use the razor, or just display it, but the look of damascus is incomparable in my books.

I think that's a great idea if the site could get a sponsor or their hands on some quality blanks.

If my memory is correct about a year and a half ago this came up. Seems it died on the vine. Still, if Lynn authorizes a small run of razors that look darned close to the logo (in 7/8 or 8/8) sign me up too!

Unless people are planning to prepay i seriously doubt there will be any production run of this razor
best bet would be to contact one of the custom makers here (or ask Lynn if he can suggest a maker)
get an estimate and hope to get approval for a one off
