    Default Another Filly Question?

I just scored my first filly on e-bay.its a #13 doble temple 7/8 it has a 3 pin black scales with no logo. The scales dont look like the ones you see on e-bay going for 300.00+. My question, is this a vintage filly or is a newer model( do they still make them????) It also says Filarominica on the Blade.thanks

Did it look like the one in THIS thread?
If so, they are a couple years old and were selling for $120 back then.

I've never found a cheap vintage one so I can't tell you. It shaves just fine but if I recall correctly what others said about them, they do not compare in quality to the old stuff.

It's a perfectly good razor, not phenomenal but pretty good. Aesthetically, I'm not thrilled with them. The dot matrix etching is kind of lame and the jimps really are half-hearted at best.

The sad thing about these is that they were beginning to sell out about the time that old Fillies started to go through the roof and somehow these old ones started to follow. These $120 razors started going for more than $300 while you could still buy them from some places for the same $120. Unfortunately, a few new members got caught up in that and ended up with pretty hard feelings about it.

I realize that's more information than you asked for! Here's a little more that is more relevant. Though I did not really have any difficulty honing it, (not bragging, just fact) I recall several people did have trouble with them and gave up and a lot of them ended up in Lynn's mailbox.
