Anyone heard of Zartina?
I picked up a grab-bag of razors pretty cheaply, but one in pretty good condition was a "Zartina." The blade has a high polish and I'm getting ready to give it a honing. I can't locate any information about this maker.
I'd appreciate any information or links anyone might have. I've tried the Unilecta list, and zartina wasn't there unless I searched the wrong way.
Here'a couple pics:

Lawson...I don;t know much about the Zartina (with the exception that I vaguely reading somewhere that it may be a re-brand of Engels??)
But, that's a gem you seem to have found . Enjoy it

I have one almost like that and I like it. An excellent shaver. Otherwise, I don't know any of its background.

Report on the Zartina
Well I honed up the Zartina. It had a little ding, like a faucet bump, but otherwise honed up easily. Set the bevel on DMT 1200, then worked up the Naniwas 3K, 8K, 12K. I skipped the CrOx strop and went to my SRD Linen/Premium III.
Super nice shave! Again, it cut very well, but did not feel "sharp." Very smooth and sweet. I've shaved with it 3 times, twice doing three full passes, WTG, XTG, and ATG, and it's a keeper.
Coincidentally, I have honed up recently several skinny straights, 4/8s. One was the Fridour Inox, one a NOS Torrey, one an NOS Bismarck, and now this Zartina. All have turned out excellent, smooth shavers.
Maybe my hones and face just like 4/8?

True--it really floors me when a totally unknown razor turns out so nice. But then, I think "SOLINGEN" or "SHEFFIELD" on the steel is likely the most important information!
