    Default Razor noob here...

    I have a new in box Dovo razor and I was wondering how much it might be worth. I have the original box and it has the factory edge on it- it's never been sharpened otherwise. Finish is 100%.

    It's a 3 post design, mother of pearl scales, carbon steel blade and has gold detailing on the blade belly, the spine and the shank.

    Could someone help me out here?

    Here are a few pics:

    If you want help with honing it, or help learning how to use it, then sure, we can help with that.
    However, we don't do appraisals here. You'd be amazed at the number of people who register on SRP for the sole purpose of getting help selling their stuff.

    Thanks for the input! Didn't mean to offend by the way.

    My 1st razor was the stainless version of that model. Have it honed and enjoy it.

    Out of curiosity - are you currently a straight razor shaver, considering becoming one, or just have a razor to unload?

    If you are not yet a shaver and are considering becoming one, that is a really nice razor and would serve you for life if so inclined.

    @Alembic- long time shaver, was just curious about the value of the blade. I've since dug around on the net and have a pretty good idea of it's worth.

    I have two other Dovos that are much more utilitarian that I use on a daily basis.

    @Utopian- thanks for the understanding!

    Yeah, I prefer the utilitarian as well. I really don't like having to worry about gold leaf.
