I love shaving with a frameback and I've got a few in the collection. The French made some excellent framebacks. I'm just happy to hunt out good vintage ones. There's still a few out there.

I have found that the framebacks take really wicked edges (especially the Swedish ones), and you need to use a really light touch when shaving with them. It's easy to get heavy handed on the pressure or otherwise throw off your technique because they are so light, and they will bite if you do. It's really one of those things I think everyone should try.

i agree, the feel is different, you need to use a very light touch!

I definately agree on the framebacks taking a good edge. I honed an Eskiltuna frameback for a member here and that thing could cleave atoms I tells ya..!

That was one sharp razor and a really sweet shaver.

my TI is also very sharp, for this moment the sharpest and smoothest razor. There is also a Fontenille frameback on it's way from Down Under to my place!

    best,
