Thread: Wow!!

Nothing better than coming home from work to see a package waiting for you. Today it was a Puma high class from holi4pirating. Wow what a blade, looks to be NOS though it does have some patina a very little bit of rust and looks like someone attempted a cleanup before deciding it wasn't worth it. But no wear whatsoever sticker on the back of scales and the emblem on the front. Although it came to me honed I ran it over some CrOx then CeOx not as much to polish the edge than to make the razor mine. Then I stropped the hell out of it on linen, poly-weave, Russian leather, SDR premium IV. Wow what a shave! I honestly think it's my best one yet and will put it up on SOTD tomorrow. So thank you Dylan and onto my question. What brand/steel works best for you obviously this is a very individual question everyone else looks for something else but what do you like and why? I started wondering this halfway through my shave thinking that maybe I have a new favorite.

Dylan is a great honer, I had a DD Goldedge that he honed and you can cleave atoms with that thing. He finished it on an Asagi, and that really is an edge that needs to be experienced!

But we need some pics of the new razor.

Stubear you are correct this is my second razor from Dylan the other a Rex 8 swedish steel and I consider both to be amoung my sharpest, I also have contracted his services for another two razors which im sure will turn out just as nice.

Yeah I jumped on it as soon as Isaw Holi4pirating put some new razors on his site with his 1 year discount I could not go wrong. It has some staining/ rust/ slight pitting but I hope to fix the staining and rust with some maas and end up with a razor that looks like it came frome the factory yesterday. Now I just need a fili and a few customs and my collection will be finished. yeah thats all.
