Thread: Ladies' Favorite DE?

Sorry for crashing the party ladies (and gents),
I recently got my wife two Lady Gillette razors; (1) blue, and (2) champagne. She is loving the blue. The champagne is stored for backup. Her first try with the blue and a Lord blade was very successful. She is loving this a lot more than the "Sensor" multi-blade (or whatever they are called) she was using. I taught her how to use the blade and how to make lather and viola!!! She's on a roll and better than I am at making lather. I feel stupid though...it took me a month or so to get the basics down.
Problem is that she already took ownership of one of my brushes and is now eying my cremes/soaps...especially CarrieM's stuff. I need to drawer with a combination lock.

Thanked: 6Looking to buy
Hey guys, you all seem to have a good idea of what DEs are good for ladies, so if anyone has one they might like to sell, PM me. I've never owned a razor other than my cartridge razor before, so I'm not too terribly picky; just need something to start out with. Good condition though, of course. I put up a WTB ad in the classifieds as well, so hopefully before too long i'll have my first DE!

I've been using safety razors pretty much since I started shaving, got my first safety from my gpa on my 16th b day, it's a 59 Fatboy E1 adjustable by Gillette, he bought it pretty much when they came out with it and he's passed some years ago and I am still using it and it's perfect.
My others are a Merkur HD and a Parker 99R.
I love my Murker HD, excellent for those weeks where your so busy you go nearly all week w/o shaving lol, it's my bush hog for my legs, the Parker is very smooth and easy on the legs, wouldn't say that it is too mild a razor, but a nice break from my Merkur HD loaded with a Feather blade and am in a good routine.

Welcome to the forum.. I have several vintage DE's but my fave is a adjustable slim. Feel free to PM me if you have questions on straights or wet shaving in general. I saw your post in the introduction area. Sounds like you have a great base of knowledge already.

With DE razors I am fairly good at it all, I rarely ever get nicks and burn these day's and I get to relax and take my time prepping and shaving with all the wonderful creams and scents while getting a great baby smooth shave that lasts a couple day's. I sent you my questions btw Carrie, tried to make them to the point and short as I tend to ramble if left alone rofl.
