Thread: Alcosa Prima Solingen... help ID?

I just purchased my first razor today with hopes of learning to use it. I plan to get it honed before I make an attempt but I've not found any information on this razor anywhere. Has anyone heard of this razor or have any information on it? The blade looks good and the scales are pretty cool. Any and all comments welcome.

I was thinking of buying a new razor but I might just save up for a bigger monitor.

I paid $60 for it as that is what the seller was asking from Craigslist. I'm not exactly familiar with what makes a good razor/bad razor but after seeing this one compared to others I've seen I didn't think I could go wrong. It's not sharp/shave ready - not sure if it has actually ever been used?? The seller ended up with it after family members passed away and thought it was very nice so she put it up for sale on craigslist with a price based on what she saw on ebay auctions. I assume this is a good razor for $60??

As far as the pics go - this was the first time I posted pics into a forum and used tinypic... figured it would knock em down enough but obviously not. Hope it's not too annoying!
