After closer inspection I think that the scales have been changed. I thought at first it was just old and sloppy but the blade is to long and just barely missed the pin. If the wedge would be shortened enough to miss the blade the hole would be on the edge.

Oh well That would fit into my plans anyway because I am interested in trying to make new scales. Today I also bought a bare Klas Tornblom blade and a Henry Sears and Sons with a broke scale. Both of them I could find information on.
