Also use mineral oil applied with a finger daily. Have never had rust issues to date. If you buy old razors, the oil may help break up some old stuff lying in the pins. Be careful with the amount of oil your use if the scales are of a porous nature such as bone as it will change the color slightly. Wooden scales will also change color slightly if the finish used has broken down, but it will actually help protect the wood against moisture (sometimes oil is used as a finish).
