Default Just got a 7 day set at an antique show!!!

    Guys! I did sooooooooooooooo good.

I got a 7 day set of solingen blades in excellent condition. The tangs are gold washed. Decorated gold spine with each day of the week clearly labeled. The blades are highly decorated (picture of an old man with a beard on each side of Solingen). Blonde scales that say Solingen. The maker is Friedelko. On the tang it also has Haan-Solingen. They came in their original box. I can't post pics, but I could email pics to someone if they would like to take a peek.

I also got a JR Torrey with a MOP tang. The spine is decorated. The blade says Full Double Concave in gold wash. The scales are really cool. I'm not sure what the material is but it is not a plastic. It says PATENTED AUGUST1 1905 on the scales. The scales also have a "lip" that goes up to the spine of the blade.

Also got a Wostenholm's Hollow ground with barbers notch that is in good condition as well.

I also got another blade that is poor condition. That one was thrown in with the rest.

I have two old Solingen 7-day sets, one honed by Lynn Abrams and one set honed by me. I love shaving through the week with them. Tomorrow I finish the week with the Abrams-honed set.

These are always nice, lovely razors. Using them turns an ordinary, daily chore, into something elegant, even elevating.

Congratulations. The pleasure these razors give you will be way past what you paid for them, I'm sure.

I have an old set of Fritz Bracht Dovo's and man do they take an edge. Like shaving with Scalpels.

Congrats on what sounds to be a great score! Antique shops, flea markets and other neighborhood sources are our preferred hunting grounds. Aren't local finds just GREAT?!

Wow, can't wait to see some pics once you've got it sorted.
I've only got a Kropp 7 day set though they came in a nice box and and interesting history the blades themselves aren't anything to shout about compared to the ones you're describing.
