    I have yet to try a nice restored Sheffield, but for me, Solingen blades work great. Most of the time I use a new Thiers-Issard, though. My vote goes to Solingen as of now, simply because of lack of experience in trying Sheffield's.

    Of the two, probably Solingen but really hard to say. This might even boil down to whether you like a stiff grind or hollow. Don't see many wedges from Solingen.

    Still, my favorite razors are from the US; Kinfolks and Shumate made some great shavers.
