Default Wusthof with 'Graf Zeppelin' engraving

Hi, new member here, I was hoping to possibly get some insight on a straight razor I have. It is an Ed Wusthof #214 and I've never thought much about it, other than I really like how it looks and so forth. Earlier today I noticed that there was a name around the engraving on the blade that says "Graf Zeppelin".

I thought maybe it was a model named after the famed zeppelin but could not find any info. Might be cool if it were somehow associated directly with it, anyhow, I'd love to know more about it and this seems to be the place to ask. Thanks!

It could also mean Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin. He died in 1917 and it could commemorate that.

Very interesting, thanks! I'm going to go look in that direction. I can't seem to find any info on the #214, I wonder if this was engraved for an individual?

214 is probably the model number for that style of razor for the Ed Wusthof company.

yes, I figured the #214 refers to the model, I just have not been able to track down any info on that model, or much info in general about these straight razors by Wusthof. I'm just intrigued by the Graf Zeppelin engraving on the blade. Seems like a nice piece regardless.
