Default German Lyre and sword straight razor

Has anyone heard of this company. I was looking On eBay earlier and saw this item. But I wasn't sure if it was worth a snag or not so I decided I'd ask here first. I tried to google it and I couldn't find anything onthis company. What caught me was a unique blade. But again after reading here, do t buy unless you know.

This may help. The sale is ended bu I'm still curious. if you scroll through the pictures I think it's the 6th pic and the 3rd down. Most them are beat up but this one looks interesting regardless.

The razor looks like an upturned french point. very odd.

It looks like it has suffered unprofessional honing.

So I actually ended up buying this razor. I received it last night. It was sharpened very well. Passed the HHT. Gave a pretty good shave for the first time using it. The scales seem to be bakelite and the metal is really heavy. It's not as hollow as my dovo spike. The really interesting design was the upturned nose on the blade. To my surprise it was designed that way and it wasn't till I was shaving my neck that I found out. The tip fits perfectly in that angle under the jawline. I found the because of the tip design I was easily able to go XTG on my neck.
So in all a good purchase. Guess I made out lucky this time.

PS: I'll prolly post pics of it soon. Happy holidays!

Hey, I was also searching a lot for this particular razor. I had seen it a while ago and was eager to buy it. But I was also bit apprehensive. Buy now I can buy it without any worry. I will also get it soon and post here about my experience.
