Thread: holy sharp blade Batman !

I recently purchased a blade sampler pack from Fendrihan, Classic Wet Shaving Store containing Merkur, Derby, Feather and Astra. I have used the Derby & Merkur. Today I tried the feather and found out that it is truly Ninja katana sharp ! I highly recommend this blade ( as long as you have some shaving exp) as it was one of my most closest an most comfortable shaves with my shavette.

I've only used Feather DE blades, yes they are extremely sharp but capable of giving extraordinary shaves in experienced hands. Probably one of my favorite blades.

I love Feather blades. They're the only one's I use. They have no trouble cutting through thick stubble.

Astra would be my pick of that lot. Treets are better than Astra. Feathers are awesome edges for sure, but a little too sharp for my nancy boy skin I'm sorry to say.

I found that the feather's felt too sharp/agressive for my tastes. They are also pretty pricey.

I settled on the Derby's as my favorite choice because of good quality shaves and a reasonable price. I would buy them in 100 counts from either Ebay or Amazon.

I eventually moved on to single edged blades before moving on recently to straights.

Yeah...I've used the Feathers in my Merkur and they ARE sharper than all hell and aggressive too. To date I've used Feathers, Derby, Wilkinson and one other but have found Feathers more to my liking. Happy shaves.
