I will be purchasing my new Dovo in just a few hours. I was wondering if anyone out there has any recommendations or comments about the following shavers....good and bad.....post it. I'm currently working with a Bismarck and want to pick up another for my rotation.
Dovo Ebony Silver Steel 5/8 (Carbon or Stainless)
Dovo Ebony Spike Point 5/8 (Carbon)
Dovo Pearlex 5/8 (Carbon or Stainless)
Dovo Prima Klang 5/8
Dovo Micarta 5/8 Stainless
Dovo Thuya 5/8 Stainless

New Dovo
Hello, Holdfast:
I have a warm sport for the Dovo "Pearlex." I think every collection should have one. It's a lovely razor. That would be my recommendation, preferably the stainless steel version.

Obie

You probably won't notice any difference in how they shave. I'd say go for the one you like most.

There is an interesting looking dovo in the classifieds at the moment, it maybe worth a look.
Ps I had 4580 Dovo ebony silver steel as my first razor, not a bad razor but nothing out of the ordinary IMO

I agree with Obie, but I must confess to not owning one. I opted for the MoP version instead (when they were solid piece scales). I doubt I'll ever get rid of that razor.
Really, you should just get whatever is appealing to you. Best

Holdfast,
The Dovo EnVogue (Micarta) is an excellent shaver
I have two (2), one black micarta, the other re-scaled in polished rams-horn; they have been the 'meat & potatoes' of my rotation for the last year, and they have done the job superbly.
They take a wicked edge, and are very easy to maintain. Super razors !
Enjoy yours
Have fun !
Best regards
