Top rated company for sure. That edge will be top notch.

Ether one would be a fine choice, you will find that razor choice tends to the person preference line up. I started with smaller razors and worked my way to heavy razors over the last 4 years. Both these razors would be great starters as they are pretty much middle of the road as far as size and style are concerned, they are top brand razors so don't worry about their quality.

The Prima will be thinner (and noisier) so that to me would be a consideration, but many like the sound and get that razor for it.

Ya can't go wrong ordering from Straight Razor Designs. I believe the steel is the same so go with the one that you like best. You can always contact SRD for assistance. They are very helpful and won't steer you wrong. Excellent honing also!

SRD is a class shop and you cannot go wrong. The blade will be honed to perfection and life time honing is very well worth it unless your going to learn to hone by yourself.

    Enjoy.

If you are new to straights, I would suggest the BQ over the PK. The PK is extra hollow ground, and takes a bit more finesse; the BQ will be a bit more forgiving. That said, I like the PK more of those two.

That is a good deal. I have a Henckles with Bocote scales, the scales cost me $75.00 alone. You can't go wrong with either.
