Default S. Bright & Co. "Brilho"

I got this razor online for pretty cheap. Didn't find much on SRP but I did stumble upon some other pewter and silver sites that had references to the manufacturer.

Unfortunately the scales don't fit the razor, although judging by the discoloration of the razor I'm fairly sure that they've been attached for quite a long time. Should be a nice little project and I can't wait to actually use this thing.

    S. Bright & Co., Sheffield, England. Active around 1863 from what I've gathered, and the BRILHO mark is a lit candlestick (facing sideways on the razor).

    Whole razor:

Any further information would be greatly appreciated!

Nice and unique find! I would just clean it up, hone it and use it for a while before getting into a restore. I really like using razors as found if they are serviceable. I have a Marsh and Sheppard that has one horn scale and one wood. Very nice shaver and one someone put some extra love into to keep it in service. It still has the mis-matched scales. Others I did a full restore on because I felt they just didn't have as much of a unique history or were just abused some time before they found their way to me.
