    Default Buy a "new" razor

I have a couple of western style straight razors and now I'm looking for a japanese straight, the kamisori's that you see on ebay are they any good and worth buying or should I look elsewhere? With good I mean good quality.

I have Kamisori and it shaves ok. A new experiment in honing and shaving techniques, but after learning for some time it turned out as good as any other straight razor.

Anytime when you buy razor on Ebay you are taking some chances.
Western blades is a lot easier to know what quality etc but Japanese not easy.
i had very good quality Japanese blades and had worse side too.if you know history of maker etc that should help.
we don't know how to read or understand Japanese this makes our choose Japanese razors a little more difficult.

I have bought Japanese straight razors from eBay. They were of very good quality. With my personal experience I would like to advice you to go forward with your buy. The only problem I find with Japanese razors is that, every detail is mentioned in Japanese and not in English.
