Thanked: 0Levinson's Sons Razor
Hello All,
I am new here, and just received an antique razor for Christmas and wanted to know if anyone knew some history on it.
It's a bone-handled razor and it is made by Levinson's Sons.
Any clues on it? I've googled it and can't find anything.
Thanks,
Tyler

I can't do much with information but if you can post some pics and notes on any other identifying marks/stamps on the blade or scales one of the more knowledgeable members might have some helpfull information.

I'm just guessing here but I suspect that name is just a retailer not the manufacturer. When we see a picture we can better tell.

What a strange blade. I'd guess a Solingen, but it's a guess. Scales look celuloid but, honestly, I'm not sure. More pictures (sorry).

Thanked: 0The only reference on the web I can find to it is in an old report by the Boston Chamber of Commerce, circa 1909. It says that L Levenson's sons is a manufacturer of dry goods in the city of Boston...

Yes celluloid scales. Does it say where it's made? I still say they are a retailer not manufacturer. probably some outfit in Solingen if it says made in Germany on it.
