"Henry Martens" razor info
Greetings all,
I'm looking to see if any of you have heard of this brand of razor - I have one and have pictures to upload. It's marked "Henry Martens Hamburg Ground" on one side and "Kraut & Dohnal 202 S. Clark Str. Chicago - Made in Germany" on the other.
The scales look like celluloid made to appear like bamboo.
Any information is appreciated - thanks for your time.

Couldn't find anything on Henry Martens but, from here where they are listed as a manufacturer though not, apparently, in this case:
KRAUT & DOHNAL
Chicago, Illinois
Trademarks: "Conquer-All", "Barber's Tip", "TopNotch"
ca. 1902-1937.
Gives you a time span to work with.

Hi,
Thanks for the scoop!
I was guessing right about that time frame - the design of the scales and font used reminded me of something from about the "Roaring 20s" or early Depression-era. That makes sense.
I'd like to visit that address to see what's there... maybe I should check it out on Google Earth.
Thanks for your help!
