    Happy New Year!

Your spelling is correct, and thus I really would recommend using the search bar...there are a ton of threads about Japanese razors, aka Kamisori, with all the information you could ever want, if you have the time to pick through them.

In addition, not to beat my own drum too much, but if you check out my blog at this link you might find some useful information as well.

    Good luck!

I had a chance to shave with a Lynn honed Iwasaki when visiting a Rmaldon in NY. They are really fantastic. I also shaved with a tamahagne that Gugi brought to a meet up here, and that was very nice as well.

JIMR is definitely an authority. His Blog is very informative/educational and he is a true gentleman.

Holli4 on the other hand...... just kidding.

I have a couple of kamisoris and I like them so much I rarely use my western straights anymore. There is a small learning curve when it comes to shaving and honing them (YMMV).

Do a search and you can read all about it.
