    Default swmbo has rad

Recently, My g.f., and Myself have been visiting alot of antique shops on the weekends as a way to get out of the house, and enjoy abit of window shopping. I had a decent razor that I had picked up at one a few months ago with her, and since then everytime we visit a shop, her first question to the shop keeper is if they have any str8s. One shop we went to yesterday, had the most razors I have ever seen in my life. I bet there had to be at least 20 straights there. Funny thing was, she wouldn't let me go look at em. She told me to look around the shop, then she started to sort through em. While I personally prefer smaller widths on my blades, she picked out one really nice wide straight, and a narrower width blade as well. Although she was disapointed that she still hasn't found me the perfect shave mug, but she said it's all a matter of time. Let me just say right now.....I love my girlfriend. First flyfishing, now shaving. Wonder if I can get her interested in hot rods??

I don't know whether to call her an enabler or ask if she has a sister!

Congrats on finding a great partner. Be sure to hold on to her! Sharing a similar interest can get expensive, just ask me. LOL CarrieM, my son Jr. and I often go on antique runs. We have a game on the way as to shat would find and what we would be looking for. Most is pie in the sky razors that are rare, popular or expensive. We have found that we find them on may occasions. One that comes to mind is a NOS Wonderedge that we scored for a song. Another would be C-Mons but we won't go there in this thread. Bottom line is be careful what you look for, you may find it and with your partner assisting there is no word of reason. LOL. Good luck in your future searches and have fun.

I can only imagine what it would be like to come home someday and find a box full of razors on the table because my wife had been out antiquing. Nirvana I guess.

lol, well I don't think I'll ever convince her to shave with one, but at least I get to have someone who's willing to put up with, and share in the buying addiction. I'm just waiting for the turn around to see what it is she wants next. oh she has a sister too, but she's happily married. sorry guys, lol

You lucky, lucky dog! One would think having a flyfishing mate would be heaven, but to have one that loves straights as well, my god have a rare one!
