Happy new year everyone !

I met one of my friends for new years, who`s father past away recently. Anyways, he handed me his fathers straights. Knowing that I`m interested in straight razors, he said that he knew they would be in good hands if I had them. I was extremely touched by the gesture.

Anyways, after looking at them, I don`t have a clue about their history. I was wondering if someone here can help me out.

Before sending them out to get honed, I`m simply going to brush off the heavy rust, but I want to keep the scars that time put on them. Normally, I`d want to make them nice and shinny again, but since I knew the person who owned the razors, I want to keep them as close to they are now. Does anyone have suggestions as to what minimum restoration should be done on theses razors ?
