Default Opinion on metal scale razors

I am new to straight shaving and since the beginning I have liked the idea of metal scales on my razor. I recently found the All Steel from Dovo, I am currently using a Dovo Best quality which I have enjoyed. I was wondering if anyone has used this razor or knows of any short comings in this razor or any with stainless scales, any input is greatly appreciated thanks,

You will probably find metal scales have a different center of balance due to the weight of the scales. I have several razors with metal liners like the MOP scales. It takes a little getting used to but I don't dislike them. Others like a perfectly balanced razor and that is fine also. Just take that into consideration before purchasing.

I like the look of metal scales too so I purchased a Wapi. As soon as I used it I found that I used way too much pressure while stropping and shaving. The balance is just not to my tastes. This is not to say I couldn't get used to it if I used it every day for a month, I just don't want to put in that kind of effort when I have better options.

I find that I like my scales to be light. Your tastes may vary. As a newbie your tastes may not be dialed in and you might love the extra weight.
