Default Oh, it this a wedge?

    Hello to all.
Mr. Postman had just deliver my new old straight razor.
    I got it from Ebay.
I think i need some work on him but i'm very pleased.
I also think that it is a wedge or very near to it.
I have some concern about edge, smiling? Too much asymetrical honing? That is as it is supposed to be?
Not having a honemaster near I must take responsibility for his care and sharpening. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.
    Have nice days.
    Greetings from Santiago.

I have a Wostenholm that is very similar to that W&B. Should turn out to be a great shaver. BTW that smile isn't too bad; I've seen a lot worse.

Looks like a very nice near wedge. You can tell it's not a full wedge because are bands of wear at the bevel and spine instead of wear on the whole side. But true wedge, near wedge, and even a quarter hollow all feel the same when you shave, so it makes no difference. Looks like she's seen little to no use, and she'll be a dandy to use.

    Default Wedge-o-licious

Awesome razor, will need careful honing, but you'll love shaving with it.

    Default Update on W&B

    Thanks for your opinions
I am very impressed with this razor. How old it could be?
Not being experienced I don't remove scales.
First I cleaned blade with WD40. Then use water sandpaper with 1000 and 1200 grit. I can't get more fine. Finally polished with wife's metal polisher (Brasso).
Hone with soft Arkansas stone + Naniwa 5000, 8000 and 12000. I put 2 layers of 3M electrical tape on the spine.
Then strop for a while on canvas and leather.
For scales I used generously olive oil. They were thirsty.
Shaving? Different from what I feel with Hollow Grind but I think will like it.
    Have nice days.
