Thread: Kobar No72 Straight Edge

Hi guys,
I'm wondering if someone can help me out with some info about a razor that was purchased for me.

here's the details i got from the seller.

Blade is embossed Solingen Kobar 11. One side of the tang is inscribed 72 Kobar Solingen Germany, the other side Finest Silver Steel,Forged and Ground in Solingen Germany

I messaged the seller of the razor and hes not able to give me any info about it other than he thinks it was made in the 30's

I've seen a few mentioned on here but there seems to be little info given about them.

Any details on its history, maker, etc etc would be really appreciated.

I had a Kobar 4/8....It was one of my favorites...Shaved great, and kept an edge...I have been lookng for a replacement every since I sold it.
